Protection of the population of the Pieniny Treacle- mustard (Erysimum pieninicum)Wednesday, 03 december 2014
In 2014 the perennial plants and shrubs overgrowing the xerotermic grasslands at the ruins of Czorsztyn Castle were removed from an area of 0.25 ha.
The treatment involves mowing high perennial plants and the cutting of shrubs. Previously collected Treacle mustard (Erysimum pieninicum) seeds will be sown in the area after the completion of task. The next stage of implementing protective measures to preserve the Treacle-mustard on the rest of the area of 0.25 ha of the xerotermic grassland will be carried out in 2015.
